Hi Barry,
Thanks for commenting!

I have little doubt that we’re moving that way (re: privacy vs openness of personal data).
Recent "sexting" scandals and similar events make it pretty clear that, if anything, kids growing up today need to be educated on how to share LESS of themselves online...

My bet? As today's teens come of age we’ll see a huge cultural shift on these issues:

Just as the "Sexual Revolution" of the 60s' was brought about by a shift in values coupled with the invention of the pill, so too the technological impact of the Semantic Social web and rich-media cellphones, coupled with the shift in values already demonstrated by today's teens, will bring about a "Privacy Revolution".

I think this bodes well for those of us who feel they have nothing to hide.
Personally, I can't wait...
: )

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Totally agree with you on privacy. I'd like to think openness of personal data will not worry consumers as much in the future and will facilitate marketers to provide better online experiences. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for your comment on my blog, I've reinstalled headup and will write a follow up post to my earlier review over the weekend :)
